After that, to open the Keychain Access, double-click on it. If youre using Apples iCloud Mail, learn how to resolve issues with iCloud Mail. I’m using Mavericks and this is so annoying. If your Mac is connected to the Internet but suddenly starts asking for your password, you should generally try again later, and if necessary work with your email provider to resolve. I use iCloud a lot for my calendars and reminders so I was too scared to do it. You have to write the ‘Keychain Access’ in the Spotlight Search bar. I got the same thing Ted when I tried to Sign Out of iCloud and sign back in. Now, Using the Go menu, choose the Utility option. The same email addresses work fine on ipad and iphone with no log-in/password issues. First of all, if Outlook is open then close it. I have deleted the saved email passwords from keychain and re-entered the data again when mail asks. The mail can work easily in the background then randomly asks for password. There is no time out lock out on the keychain login. After doing the recent apple software update (now 10.5.8, mail 3.6) mail keeps asking for keychain password on only 1 of my 2 email accounts (both from same provider). I can either re-enter the password or check cancel, wait and then "take all accounts on-line" it will work without me having to put in the password again - so I know password is correct and stored in account preferences correctly.
